Welcome to LifeChange ...

... the private psychotherapy practice of Shawna V Carboni, LICSW, DCSW in Boston. As a licensed clinician, Ms. Carboni can only work with residents of Massachusetts even via teletherapy.
Update for Winter 2021
For many people staying-at-home has become an opportunity to reflect on what they previously took for granted, for appreciating a simplified life, for developing more self-reliance, and for enhancing their self-awareness. Often, though, it has also stirred feelings of anxiety, worry, lonesomeness, and loss.
Therapy can help with the range of emotions, thoughts and concerns that surface in such an unusual time.
If you’re considering whether or not to start or resume therapy, please know that I am accepting a few new patients in the new year of 2021. In-person therapy will continue to be postponed and replaced by teletherapy (live video conferencing on a HIPAA compliant site) through the Summer of 2021.
********************************
Over the years, I've trained in insight-oriented psychotherapy with specialities in EMDR, Brainspotting, Clinical Hypnosis and Bioenergetic Analysis, thus I'm able to provide a variety of approaches for growth and change to meet individual styles and needs.
Whenever we see things in a new light, or grow and change from the inside-out, that's a life change. And, that's the essence of what therapy is about.
With guidance, you can learn ways:
I offer both individual and couples therapy to adults ranging in age from their early 20’s to their late 80’s and also specialize in therapy for other therapists and for artists who are drawn to a more creative, eclectic approach. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I'm a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Now, with more than 30 years experience, I still fervently believe in each individual's capacity for growth, change and self-actualization and try to bring a vigor, maturity and sincere commitment to my work.
